"Not insane" sort of echoes Sarah's previous single "Fine", which is... fine I can't wait for Scream to be released so I can take a listen to all her new songs - apart from the ones she already played touring Europe last year that made it onto her new album. I think she's doing a good job so far - although a friend of mine isn't convinced (he, too, is a big K's Choice fan): he keeps missing Gert when the harmony vocals are being sung. I think it may take a little while for some to get used to this. Have you heard the unplugged version of "Not insane" as well? Sarah and her guitarist played a few morning radio shows in this part of Europe promoting the single and, well, I gotta admit it's nice waking up to the sound of her voice |

yeah i've heard some acoustic versions -- I always like hearing them. so barebones and simple, and it's so cool to hear the difference from the full rock version. anyway, the full album is amazing. hopefully you'll really dig it. sarah indeed is doing an incredible job on her own.
by the way, totally off topic, but i saw tina turner on Ellen's show the other day, and she sang Proud Mary. of course i immediately thought of sarah 'cause she covered that tune. tina turner rocks -- that woman can still move around on stage like nobody's business! |

| Oh Kim, I bet it must've sounded awesome. Did you know she also covered Prince's "I could never take the place of your man" (that was several yrs ago on Dutch tv) and "Like the way I do" of Melissa Etheridge (this is even before K's Choice was formed)? Sarah's covered quite a few pop songs - I guess mostly w/ K's Choice, but it's always very inspiring to her her take on songs. |

it sounded awesome indeed! i've heard the Prince cover, but i haven't heard Like the Way I Do.
speaking of melissa, saw her appearance on the Grammy's sunday -- she's going through chemotherapy right now and so has no hair. i hope she beats the cancer. |

I am hoping the same thing. (No offense, but I need to correct you on the treatment thingy part: a short while ago Melissa wrote on her website that she's done w/ the chemo and was on to radiation.) And even though the Grammys weren't aired over here I got to see her stunning performance - w/ the talented Joss Stone; the Janis Joplin tribute's on an Etheridge fan website.
Anyhoo, I also remember K's Choice playing The Beatles "Come together" when they were playing Belgium and The Netherlands after the release of their debut album and "When tomorrow comes" of The Eurythmics and a little more recent George Harrison's "Something".
Sarah also duetted w/ Dutch rock singer Anouk, doing their rendition of Live's "I alone" unplugged. Have you ever heard that one? |

I have heard "I Alone," and I actually like it better than the original (was never really a fan of Live).
Thanks for clarifying Melissa's condition. Either way, I just hope she gets better. Many people close to me either have cancer, or have died from it. Terrible disease... |

| Same here... Anyhoo, back to Sarah; I hope she'll be playing lots of music festivals this coming Summer (and hopefully that won't happen when I'm traveling some part of the world like last time) |
